Detroit Tigers
Some may say the Motor City has been down on its luck for a while, but the Tigers are still a source of pride for Detroit, with two division titles and five playoff appearances in the last decade. Fans also take pride in the team's stadium, Comerica Park.
Comerica is unusually well-rounded in terms of amenities and functionality, succeeding in almost all aspects you could want. The concourses, restaurants, bars, social spaces, a whole heap of comfortable seats, a new videoboard, references to team history, and other amenities are all executed to perfection. We haven't even mentioned the humongous fountain with choreographed "liquid fireworks," a 50-foot Ferris wheel and a tiger-themed carousel that sits out in the entrance area.
A trip to Detroit and Comerica should be high on many a bucket list!

THINGS TO DO IN & AROUND DETROIT
Downtown Detroit
Whether you're a sports fan, a foodie, an amateur historian or an architecture buff, you'll find something to capture your attention in "The D".
For those that like their culture, a stop at the Detroit Institute of Arts should be at the top of your list, as well as the historic Fox Theatre. And when you're walking around downtown, don't forget to look up and admire some of the city's stunning architecture, especially the famous Guardian Building. The Renaissance Center is the most striking feature of the city’s skyline and home to the world headquarters of General Motors. This area is made up of seven interconnected skyscraper buildings where you can eat, drink, shop or see a movie.
Michigan is one of the top brewing states in the country, and Detroit is home to dozens of breweries and micro-breweries. Sample craft beers such as like Dragonmead, Atwater, B. Nektar Meadery and Motor City Brewing.
Time your trip well and you can certainly do a multi-sport trip in Detroit. Arrive in September and you can see the Lions play at Ford Field, or you can see the world-famous Detroit Red Winds play at the Joe Louis Arena.
Motown Museum
An entire genre – or at least sound – was born in the space of this small Detroit home. A blue and white sign, reading "Hitsville U.S.A," hangs above the similarly painted building.
You can stand in the studio where 11-year old Stevie Wonder was discovered by Berry Gordy or browse an extensive collection of memorabilia relating to legendary stars like Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross and The Temptations
The interior has been left much the same from those magic music-making days, but there are also instruments, costumes and more on display.
