Friday, September 5
The touring party will rendezvous at London Heathrow before heading out on a direct flight to Washington DC. After a coach transfer to our hotel, the group will celebrate the start of the tour with a group meal. Two night stay in a centrally located hotel in Downtown Washington DC (min. 3*).
Saturday, September 6
FREE DAY. The group has the entire day to explore the sights of Washington DC. The National Mall is home to some of the most famous tourist spots, including Capitol Hill, the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, plus, many, many more.
Sunday, September 7
The group will take the short train ride North to Baltimore, and after checking into our centrally located hotel, we will head to beautiful, Camden Yards, widely renowned as the pioneer of the retro-style ballpark movement. The Orioles play host to the Los Angeles Dodgers, two teams destined for big things in 2025.
Monday, September 8
Another short train ride up the East Coast take us to Philadelphia, where we will be staying for two nights. After some time to explore the downtown Philadelphia area, we will take a short metro ride to Citizens Bank Park, where the Philadelphia Phillies play most to divisional revivals the New York Mets.
Tuesday, September 9
FREE DAY. The group has the day to enjoy Philadelphia. There's plenty to see and do here, including Independence Hall, where the Constitution of the United States was officially born after the signing of the Declaration of Independence. For fans of the Rocky movie franchise, you can replicate the same trek Rocky made, up the 72 steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Later tonight, you have the option to head back to CBP for another Phillies vs Mets game.
Wednesday, September 10
The group will jump back on the Amtrak and head to the fourth and biggest city of the trip, New York City. After a short walk to our hotel, we will then head up to the Bronx, Yankee Stadium to be precise where the New York Yankess play host to the Detroit Tigers. Make sure to pay a visit to Monument Park and pay tribute to the biggest names in Baseball, Ruth, Gehrighg, DiMaggio, Berra, Mantle, Jeter, Rivera....this list goes on...
Thursday, September 11
FREE DAY. The sightseeing opportunities in this city are endless. From Brooklyn Bridge and Times Square to Central Park and the Statue of Liberty, there's plenty to keep you busy (and fit). For those who fancy a quieter experience, we would certainly recommend some time either in Greenwich Village or Willamsburg, Brooklyn. Later that evening, you have the option to head back to Yankee Stadium for another offering of the Yankees vs the Tigers.
Friday, September 12
Another opportunity to do some exploring around the Big Applie, before head out to Queens, and Citi Field where the New York Mets take on the current World Series champions, the Texas Rangers.
Saturday, September 13
Our final rail trip of the tour will take us Boston, where after checking into our centrally located hotel, we will head America's oldest ballpark, the legendary Fenway Park where will have the opportunity to see the biggest rivalry in baseball, as the Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees.
Sunday, September 14
After a morning exploring Boston, we might have some time to catch another Red Sox vs Yankees match at Fenway (schedule permitting), before our flight home back to London in the evening.
Extra Notes
We will have one pre-match stadium tour (venue and date TBC). Also note, with the extra free time we will have, the schedule gives us flexibility and protection, should the weather postpone any games.
We will also include a minor league a game, again, date and venue TBC, but a coach transfer will take us to and from the minor league ballpark.
If you would like to extend your stay in the States, either before the group arrives in Washington DC, or after the tour in Boston, we will be happy to discuss any ideas you may have.
