Boston Red Sox
Nestled slightly outside of downtown Boston sits baseball’s oldest and one of its most iconic ballparks, Fenway Park. It’s where generations of fans have gone to see the Red Sox play for over a century. Although it’s old with its history dating to 1912 this iconic ballpark retains many of the same characteristics as it did when it opened. The most recognizable part of the ballpark is of course the 'Green Monster' - the 37-foot 2-inch high left-field wall is a popular target for right-handed hitters.
Since the turn of the century, the Red Sox have been one of MLB's most successful baseball clubs, becoming World Series champions no less than 4 times in that period, most recently winning in 2018. With Xander Bogaerts and J.D. Martinez amongst their ranks, they will be hoping to go all the way again this season!

THINGS TO DO IN AND AROUND BOSTON
Freedom Trail
The historic Freedom Trail is a 2.5-mile long path through downtown Boston that passes by 16 locations significant to the history of the United States. Marked largely with brick, it winds between Boston Common to the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown. Notable sights include Granary Burying Ground, Old South Meeting House, Boston Massacre Site, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere House and the USS Constitution Museum. The trail can be done in under 90 minutes but we advise you to take your time and take in the history. Once you're done, enjoy a refreshing craft beer in one of the many local bars.
Explore the Universities
Across the Charles River sits the town of Cambridge - home to two Ivy-league universities, Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Take a tour of the Harvard University campus, its historic buildings and the surrounding area of Cambridge, with its fantastic dining, shopping and entertainment spots.
Explore New England
New England is famed for its stunning fall foliage, towering mountains and quaint towns. There's also miles of coastline to explore, from rugged shorelines scattered with lighthouses to scenic harbours and sweeping sandy beaches. New England is a world away from the bustling city of Boston and it would certainly work nicely after a few trips to Fenway Park.
