The San Francisco Giants have a deep baseball history that dates back to their golden days in New York. Established in 1883 as the New York Gothams, they would be renamed three years later as the New York Giants. There would be many memorable moments for the New York Giants franchise such as Willie Mays over the shoulder catch and Bobby Thomson’s “Shot Heard ‘Round The World”. After winning 14 pennants and five World Series championships, the Giants would move out west to San Francisco in 1958, playing predominantly at Candlestick Park before moving to what is now known as Oracle Park in 2000. It took quite some time before the Giants would taste victory again, however it turned out to be a purple period for the baseball club, with World Championships in 2010, 2012 and 2014. A dynasty was born, largely thanks to a superstar pitching core that included Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain and Madison Bumgarner.
